About Me

Hello! I’m Sherif Armia Gaballa Gaid, a dedicated and passionate pharmacist from Al-Minia, Egypt. With a robust academic background from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Minia University and rich professional experiences, I’ve dedicated years to pharmaceutical sciences, ensuring patients receive the best care and information about their medications.

Education:
My academic journey began at Mallawy Secondary School, where I graduated with an impressive 97.2%. I then pursued my B.Sc. in Pharmacy from Minia University, achieving a distinction with honors, ranking 5 out of 300 students! Going further, I completed my M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics) under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Hamdy Abdelkader.

Teaching Experience:
Teaching has always been a passion. I’ve been associated with the Faculty of Pharmacy, Minia University since 2013. From being a Demonstrator, where I imparted practical knowledge in courses such as Physical Pharmacy and Dosage Form, I progressed to my current role as an Assistant Lecturer in 2020. I’ve always believed in hands-on learning, and my time here has enabled me to guide and evaluate the future pharmacists of our community.

Professional Journey:
My hands-on experience began at Towa-elgdeda Community Pharmacy in Minia, where I dispensed medications and counseled patients, ensuring they had a clear understanding of their medicines. I furthered my experience at Ahmed Galal Military Hospital in Cairo as a Hospital Pharmacist, honing my prescription validation and drug information sourcing skills.

Skills & Interests:
Over the years, I’ve gained proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office and Endnote, and I’m adept at using various laboratory tools, including UV-spectrophotometer and rotary evaporator. My ability to prepare different nano-vesicle drug delivery systems is a testament to my hands-on laboratory skills. Fluent in Arabic and English, I pride myself on my effective communication skills, a trait I’ve sharpened through my roles as a community pharmacist and demonstrator. Outside of the professional realm, I’m an avid sports enthusiast with a love for football and basketball. I also find solace in the tunes of classical music.
